Controlling drone from pc via programming

 ... The basics: The quad has a receiver (RX) on it that catches the control signals from the radio (a transmitter (TX) held in your hands) that's usually 2.4 GHz. That RX sends those signals to the flight controller (FC) that translates them into control functions sent to the...

    Sharing FPV signal

Whether it's WiFi or not doesn't matter. The quad is broadcasting it's video signal out to whoever is tuned to it's channel (frequency). It doesn't matter if it's just the pilot or fifty people tuned in, the transmitter doesn't care. ;)

    Worth a gamble

 ... He may have no idea what it's really worth so I'd wave a crisp "Benjamin" ($100 bill) under his nose and see if he bites. If he's hesitant advise him that it's a "pig in the poke" and you have no idea what the extent and amount of your repair costs will be to get it airworthy...

    Cheap camera

 ... The term "WiFi" immediately kills it for me ... lol ... unless maybe it's going on something like my 4WD dirt buggy.

    Stingy True X 240mm

The difference noted, if any at all, would be more attributed to the ant being less blocked by any carbon when hanging rearwards off a hind arm as opposed to forwards where the frame could get between the ant and radio, which in a diversity setup doesn't matter anyway. ;)

How to get my drone to fly for 3 to 5 hours??

 ... It can be done, but not with LiPo batteries, you're going to hafta use gas (more specifically Nitro) power. These scenarios typically involve a single, central motor with belt drives and variable pitch props that the FC controls the collective on. That's about all I'm gonna say on...

    Stingy True X 240mm

 ... Nice touch with the velcro bat bottoms ... you been peeking in my window ? Works a helluva lot better than just some rubber pad to keep the bats from ejecting don't it ?! :D Looks like your soldering has improved too .... nice job ! ;) But please tell me you're not just going to...

    AMAZING TECHNOLOGY

 ... Yep, GPS is a marvelous thing. BTW, did you know that the clocks on those satellites have to be detuned from "normal" in order to obtain their accuracy ? Since time is a relative function, based upon one's perspective and location, any clock in outer space will run at a different...

    PID problems

That mathematical modeling is fine for getting you into the ballpark, but you're already there. The first thing I would suggest is to DRAMATICALLY INCREASE your processing loop time speed. 400 Hz is just not anywhere fast enough, you should try for something more like around 8KHz.

    PID problems

Your approach is exactly correct. Think of "P" as the responsiveness to being off target. Think of "D" as the shock absorber or dampener for "P". Think of "I" as resistance against any outside forces. After you've achieved a good balance with the Proportional and Derivative functions, THEN...

Anyone Failing To Register Their Quadcopter With The FAA.....

    PID problems

 ... Try increasing your "D value". The reason the oscillations grow bigger is because the further away Proportional is from the set point the more aggressively it drives the correction which, when too aggressive (P is too high) causes it to overshoot that set point. Upon realizing...

And 256K was the max memory any operating system could handle. Imagine being "the fly on the wall" when the engineers were sitting around figuring THAT one out ... "Nobody will EVER require more than 256K of memory, why would they?" ... If only they knew, right?
