Yeah exactly, looking at all my hobbies, dollar per hour this is without a doubt the most expensive. Like I play final fantasy 14 and have to pay 13$ a month, but I get countless hours of fun. With quads its like each minute is 10$

i remember when i first saw the falcon for 200$ i thought that would be all i need....but the cost of the quad is just the tip of the ice berg!

i crashed this morning while taking off (got too cocky and tried to take off from under a bench) and now my right front motor isn't working. Like i'll give the quad power and all the other 3 motors beep normally, but the right front one just twitches back and forth and goes beep beep beep beep...

Think I'll get a 1000tvl ccd camera and put a 6mm lens on it :) I want the picture to be as crisp, nice, and detailed as possible. Especially if/when I upgrade my goggles to some fatshark.

by downlink do you mean the VTX or the reciver in my goggles? i got the rc 832 receiver, i think it should be good enough. In general is CCD better than my CMOS camera?

my falcon has a 700tvl camera, it seems ok but i'd like it to be a bit better. would 1000 tvl be a noticeable increase in picture quality? could i get something like this...

After my last crash and being in the middle of a move and getting frustrated from the hobby i haven't flew in almost a year! but finally got everything together today headed out side - then out of nowhere it started raining.... i literally drove around for like 2 hours until it stopped raining...

so i got a 50 W charger, and if I charge 3 1500mah batteries, that's 1.5 amps * 3 = 4.5 amps but then 4.5 amps * 12.6v for each lipo is 56.7 watts which is more than my 50watt charger. So if I wanted to charge 3 lipos on a parallel board, could I charge them at like 3.5 amps?

Damn 330$ for a p3? I may just get that instead of the fat shark goggles.

Yeah I've seen that video - I'm a huge fan of corrosion X! It would be cool if i crashed in the water and was able to just fly back up again! otherwise trying to get a boat and fishing the quad out may be a problem! I'll just stay a good height up and not crash!

i live in MN and the hills and lakes here are just too gorgeous to not FPV over!! I guess the obvious risk is crashing in the water and losing your quad....but the way i see it: when you are flying over water, there aren't any trees or anything you can really hit, so as long as you keep a good...
