    Wives and helis dont mix

Archery! Very cool. Never heard of a recurve bow, I'll look it up. Your wife is lucky to have you to train her in helis. I can imagine how hard it is to find a trainer. Sounds like youve got your hands full :) thats awesome

    Wives and helis dont mix

Ah yeah those tanks are so cool. The two figures in the vid are amazing! True craftsmanship. Theres not enough time for all the hobbies I'd love to get into. I will eventually do a nice trainset but thats probably gonna be when I retire but I know I'll always be somehow involved in modeling, be...

    FPV Wiring Question

It just completes the circuit. The term "grounded" doesnt necessarily mean contact with the earth. A current travels in a complete circuit and with out the ground, the positive charge wont travel. If you pit a piece of steel on a bench off the ground and attach a pos battery canle nothing will...

2350 kv motors on 400mm frame?

Well with such a load in the motors and smaller props it kist wont have enough life for all the weight your adding. And If it did take off, the load would be too much and yes, added heat and probably an eventual failure. I have a 280 with 2300 kv's and its fast as hell but theres no way ot could...

2350 kv motors on 400mm frame?

I think youll be fine with that 400mm setup. 20a escs, 5030 props, 3 or 4s battery. She'll fly like a bird, without all that flapping. However, if youre considering a gimbal/camera, you're new build will struggle. I think you'd be ok with a fpv camera/vtx. B If its just gonna be a "fun" flyer...

    Dsmx

Dont sweat it ask away! If they had a book of directions, it'd be obsolete by the time it got published. Everything I would of said has already been said above. Good luck!

    Wives and helis dont mix

I agree. In a world of "quadcopter this" and "quadcopter that" its great to see these helis fly. Thanks for the vids, and great flying (love the landing on the pad with the cobra)

New build - first time & need advice

Have you considered security cameras?? I mean unless you want to live at your shop flying drones around I think thats your answer. Security cameras also have night vision. Maybe get some motion detectors/ alarms. I cant see drones as being your answer. Good luck.

    New guy

Not really. Usually its just the props that break, and they're pretty cheap. Quads are actually pretty tough. Most frames are carbon fiber as opposed to balsa wood you'd see on a plane.

    A future with drones?

Well never would I think we'd be riding death machines around. My point was that "drones" in their present form, will have a huge future not in transportation but for so much else; mostly data gathering in so many forms! Look at where we are now. We use drones for anything from fighting forest...

    A future with drones?

The minimun wage "idiots" are flying American drones in combat right now, only they're much deadlier. Probably not even old enough to drink. Poor choice of words friend. Now I know our military isn't paid minimum wage but I get your meaning. All It takes is a bright mind and a joystick to wage...
