I have moved so its been a long time since I have flown. I found a drone club on FB and was able to attend a very small meet-up of about 7 people. All were nice and video and photographer enthusiasts. there were no crashes as everyone went through about 2 batteries each.
I am going to be replacing the upper and lower shell on my Phantom 3 advanced. The kit came with for little black cylinder thingies and I have no idea what they go to. Does anyone know?
Had a scare today. Got a loose or missing prop warning some 3300 feet from launch. The drone would not respond to the controller but the return home function worked properly. Luckily I was able to control it on landing or it would have ended up in my tree!.
Problem solved. It was in the wrong mode although I did go through the mode change process about three weeks ago. Looks like I did it the right way this time.
I cant figure it out, but since I have two R7008SB's that will NOT work even after getting the green light show they have binded or linked while my cheaper R7006 SB does, I figure it is something I am doing. There is always a chance neither of my eBay 7008SB work and both were purchased broken.
Great critique. My main issue was the landing gear (650 Ironman), everything from the carbon fiber threads to the clamps that have closed on me due to a heavy battery and a not too soft landing. I am about to build a frame from scratch using carbon fiber sheets. I will take your advice and place...
Lol, I always do my hover tests above a nice soft pepper tree. The one that I crashed into in the video was a nice soft pine tree :-) My deck was not so forgiving.
That crash on my deck remains a mystery. I had flown that quadcopter, my beloved first homemade quadcopter probably 100 times. It was always my go-to. I just got a Tarot T810 that has capacitors, but to tell you the truth, I am a little gun-shy right now. Had so many crashes all within a short...
You have to have a good sense of humor and look at the bright side, now I get to build another one. Ok, easier said than done. These are my crashes I have caught on video.
LOL, you are making fun of me right :-) okay, I will explain what happened. Normally I mount the LED facing backwards on the landing gear so I can see it when I am 20 feet away when waiting for the green lights. This one came with the LED mounted in the back correctly, but mounted facing...
I think I got the eBay deal of the year ($456 total). It was advertised as never flown and it appears to be true. There were no real scratches but just a thin layer of dust as if it had been sitting for a while. I plugged it into the computer and setup everything for my Futaba 14 and it flew...
