    Is my drone too heavy?

It is pretty heavy. I currently don't have any other battery besides the original battery I was using. I just ordered the one that RENOV8R suggested.

    Is my drone too heavy?

So, for right now I'm using a 3s 4000 mah 10c battery. I'm not sure if this has anything to do with the battery. But, when I get the drone up in the air, a lot of he times it'll just plummet. As if one of the motors just stop. But, when I restart the quadcopter's flight everything is normal...

    Is my drone too heavy?

Besides hobbyking. Is there another site I can look for those types of batteries? Also, is there a good site for cameras as well?

Oh that makes sense about the motors, okay. What about propellers? If all things stayed the same, would bigger propellers help?

    Is my drone too heavy?

Excellent, I have a 3 cell battery. That's good. So, how many grams should my quadcopter weigh in order for it to fly on a 2S battery?

    Is my drone too heavy?

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/12jBbPVNyrUY39dw5Z_whlun70OyFlV-TJhM_5wFHdQI/edit?usp=sharing With the first couple of flights, I was able to lift the drone up a few feet or a couple yards. Now I can't get the drone lifted at all. I'm thinking that the weight of it might be too much...

7.4V batteries. 10 mins flight time? Is that normal?

Thanks for the response guys. The explanations were enlightening. Better than Battery says "ouch"! I don't know why I was every expecting a 1 hour + long battery life. I'll look into the math of how to expand the life time of the battery. Or at least how to get a longer flight. @yay, you ever...

7.4V batteries. 10 mins flight time? Is that normal?

But why? lol. I did ruin a Rx from putting the ground and signal wires in the wrong section of the battery. Did I ruin both the battery and Rx? Also, why at 5V is when I run into issues?

Got the drone going! Now I'm trying to figure out how to make the battery last as long as possible :@

7.4V batteries. 10 mins flight time? Is that normal?

I finally got my first build to work. I took it out for a spin. And collectively I think I only received 10mins of flying time. Well sort of flying. I've never flown a drone before. It was kind of hard to get it going. But when I started the quadcopter again after many failed attempts I couldn't...

    CleanFlight and Turnigy9x V2(Almost works)

The top of cleanflight has the parachute highlighted red. Saying it's in safety mode. Any reason why might that be? Is that what's not allowing the motors to run. Because for a brief moment messing around with the TX, I did see all 4 motors spin. edit: threw some code in and fixed the issue.

I'm not really sure what I'm doing wrong. I set Aux1 to gear. and when I flip the gear switch it jumps to 1900 roughly. The motors don't budge. Even with Aux2 armed, it still won't budge. The other problem is the ranges I set don't restrict the transmitter.

So, I figured out channel mapping on the transmitter. I set the hov pitch to Aux1. I had no idea that's how channel mapping worked. But, I'm still having a hard time getting the motors to activate from the transmitter.
