    WiFi question

I'd like to view FPV thru my smartphone while flying my home built quad. do all transmitters put out a 'wifi' signal, or can one be added to a transmitter using a small electronics board, or is it possible on a home built? any info appreciated. mike

200QX Frame Replacement - Phoenix RC Carbon Fiber

actually, the original plastic/whatever material screws holding the standoff's failed when i crashed hard with no frame damage. NOW there are metal screws and metal standoffs on it - maybe then :)

    Banked Turn Technique

Yep - left banked turn - left rudder (watch altitude drop) and roll left (aileron); right banked turn - right rudder (watch altitude drop) and roll right (aileron). give it a try, tell us how it works for you.

    Quad Lug Mini XL

Hi. Decided to try a 250 size quad from Quad Lugs. As it turns out, it's a little less intimidating (for me) than a 450, being new to the hobby. Finished it up today, and had a couple of successful flights. Hardware used: KK 2.1.5 FC (stock settings) eMax 4 in 1 esc, 25 amp Suppo 1450kv motors...

multi-rotor motor kv and frame size

you were right. all i had on hand were the 'heavy lift' motors and esc's - couldn't even get the 250 off the ground - literally. ordered a set of emax 2300 motors, and a 4-in-1 esc today. i'll change over when they get here. aside from the increased rpm, i believe they weight like a third of my...

200QX Frame Replacement - Phoenix RC Carbon Fiber

Hope it's not too boring, just an average guy taking a video of unboxing / putting together the carbon fiber frame from Phoenix RC for the Blade 200QX. Links to YouTube: Part 1 - Part 2 - Enjoy, comment, ignore, whatever. :) Mikey

Show me yours, I'll show you mine...

well, i am VERY familiar with such crashes, unfortunately :( my 200qx handled it by breaking an arm off the stock body; it now has the phoenix rc carbon frame, so far so good (i did an unboxing/build on youtube if anyone wants to see). the cf frame on the 200qx has done well, no damage so far...

Show me yours, I'll show you mine...

thanks for all the replies to my different question, all - you're very helpful. here's my (generic) 250, cheap chinese ebay frame, in progress. kk controller, spektrum receiver, 750kv motors (what i have on hand), ccd camera (12 volt - may have to switch to 5 volt) turnigy esc, gemfan 3x5 props...

Show me yours, I'll show you mine...

this is getting complicated, fast. could you all post some pics of your craft (particularly quads) with the electronics easily seen - ie, batteries, step up/downs, wiring, connectors, zip ties, receivers, antennas, cams, etc - my craft is getting full, would like to see how you all have dealt...

multi-rotor motor kv and frame size

hi again. i'm building 250 size quadcopter, and have on hand motors that are 750kv (i was going to build a larger quad, but gave up on that). is this an acceptable size motor for a 250 size quad, wanting only to do casual flying (no acrobatics) and video / fpv? thanks for any opinions. mikey

Flight Controllers - any work 'out of the box'?

thank you very much. i think i'll try the naze32, have heard lots about it. mike

Hello, all - new guy here with a question (that never happens, huh?)

well, i managed to get an image (acceptable) by powering my camera off one of those inexpensive dc power supplies available of the 'bay', not off the tx unit. the power supply has been extremely handy, and i'm just getting started. i think the transmitter is not supplying enough power (it...

Flight Controllers - any work 'out of the box'?

Do any of the available flight controllers for multi-rotors work 'right out of the box', or do they all require some programming / tuning? thanks.

Hello, all - new guy here with a question (that never happens, huh?)

Hi, all. Been interested in RC for a while, finally got around to doing something about it. I have a 200QX that now has a carbon fiber replacement frame (primarily due to my lack of skill as a 'pilot') and am in the process of building a 250 class quad with video recording / fpv capabilities. My...
