New quad owner, new to this forum

I know your pain. I too am a senior and left handed to boot so many things seem kinda backwards to me. I know I could change to Mode 1 but that also makes forward go backward and vice versa and at least that part I get. The X251 is made by XK and I guess you would still call it a toy, an...

It's not a bad idea but if you aren't having any problems, I wouldn't worry about it. Mine may have been a little flimsier than others. Quality control is probably poor at the manufacturer. I agree. It's a great beginner quad. I had a lot of fun with mine but just had no real power. I now have...

I, like you, was cautious when I started flying with my Syma X8C. Then when I did a flip, it must have torqued so much that the prop and guard met up with each other. Surprisingly, it tore up the guard and not the prop. After that, I took the guards off if I planned on anything fancy.

    Code Black Battery

I see your problem. Most everything I see is 3 prong. Only one I saw is this one and it is a bit pricey. https://www.jaycar.com.au/spare-7-4v-li-po-battery-to-suit-gt4165-quadcopter/p/GT4168

    FREE Video editor?

Thanks! Got it. It was already on my computer and I didn't know it. Let's see, 10 minute video, edit out crashes. Wow! I've only got a 2 minute video. Ha!

    FREE Video editor?

Could someone point me to a free video editor for Windows? I don't really want to pay for some fancy stuff. I just want it to edit some of my bad landings(crashes) out of my flying videos. Don't really need any other fancy tools. Thanks.

Not sure what your idea of cheap is but a simple Google search like this can net you some results. https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=7.4V+350mAh+lithium+polymer+battery or http://www.gearbest.com/7.4v-350mah-_gear/

    26°F is a drone killer?

I like your video. You are looking good with wind and snow. Just got to remember that moisture in any form(rain, snow, heavy dew, ponds, etc.) is not going to be beneficial to our machines. Glad you are back up and flying.

    26°F is a drone killer?

Not really a killer I would say but battery life will be shortened substantially and as Wildwelder said, the plastic parts are more brittle and likely to break or be damaged. I have flown my helicopters and driven my rc cars in a lot of below freezing weather. Moisture, as in snow or rain is...

    is bestgear and banggood legit?

Nothing I've ever ordered came from US warehouse so just figured they didn't have one. I stand corrected.

    is bestgear and banggood legit?

I've bought from Banggood and had good luck. Also bought once and item never arrived. Contacted them and they offered to reorder my item or give me a refund. Took the refund and back in my account in a couple of days. Don't think they have US warehouse. Also have had good luck with Gearbest. No...

    Battery charge rate?

Thanks. That's what I kept coming up with by using the formula as I understood it but just didn't seem like that should be right.

    Battery charge rate?

I have a Turnigy 950 mah 2s 25-50c lipo battery and cannot figure out the charge rate to set my charger to. I have gone through the instructions on my charger many times and have looked at several web sites on lipo batteries but still cannot come to a conclusion. Can anyone help me? Thanks in...

    Alternate battery?

Hi! I recently purchased an XK X251. It is a blast but the battery that came with it is a proprietary 7.4 V 950 ma 2C battery. I am trying to find something that will work with my good charger(Tenergy TB6B). I am not real well versed on what effect different volts, ma, 25C, 30C have on these...

    Tenergy TB6B charger

Thanks. And thanks for the link. I knew the charger only did one battery at a time but I bought 2 more batteries also. It also took 3 hours to charge one battery with the freebee charger. I also still have one of my old drones to take along and I have several batteries for it. Dennis.
