Hi All,
I've got my 2014 model "Spanky 6" up and flying, and am very happy with it, but I feel that as well as new driver error, I could use some PID adjustment.
I've been doing a lot of research, and came up with this article, which was one of the clearest:
http://myfirstdrone.com/tutorials/how-to-tune-a-quadcopter/
But the problem will all of the articles/tutorials I've found is that they don't discuss whether you do them one by one (roll/pitch/yaw), all together or what.
Also...can I do the autotune in angle mode, as I tried it in rate mode and struggled.
It only made one change by the way, it took roll from the standard 40 to 100 and left all the rest as it was.
This is a bigger quad (310mm between diagonal motor centers), and it carries a gopro as well as the fpv gear.
I'm not looking to make it fly like a rocket, just bank and turn as well as it should so I can focus on learning to fly it properly.
Does anyone have a real clear "for dummies" procedure that includes what values to start at, which axis to adjust first.....just a start to finish/step by step procedure?
I'd really appreciate it, first full FPV flight today was quite daunting, and longer range LOS was a bit hairy as well...but I'm pretty keen!
Cheers in advance
