Hi folks! I'm new here, obviously, and somewhat new to the world of DIY builds.
I've always been the type that learns faster hands-on, rather than reading first. Obviously, it was a true trial by fire, but I managed to build a QAV210 with zero knowledge of, well, anything going in. I got a crash course in everything from LiPos to flight controllers to ESCs - the works! Obviously, I have a lot to learn, and in hindsight I probably should've done my research before diving in.
A brief rundown of the parts
Flysky FS-i6 TX /ia6b RX
Naze32 rev6 FC /cleanflight
2000kv motors
25A blheli ESCs
4S 1600mah battery
FPV camera / TX
I had major problems at first, it would flip/flip/spin upside down each time I attempted lift off. Turns out I got the build right, but didn't properly adjust the orientation of the flight controller. Fixed that, and got of the ground, sort of - lots of sway, etc. Movement wasn't steady at all, I couldn't get it to hold steady. To be honest it was just too much power for me as a complete newbie, and the damn thing scared me, so I put it away for months. Now I am feeling a bit daring, and want to try again.
The issue I have is that the moment it lifts off the ground, it sways from left to right, sort of like a pendulum. A few feet to the left, then center, then a few feet to the right. I am unable to steady it at all. It's worth noting that I did not change anything really in the cleanflight settings. I calibrated the ESCs, and that is about all.
I would appreciate any insight you may have, or just nudge in the right direction.
