Is there a rule of thumb for selecting the size and pitch for the propellers?

HI mate not really, it depends on frame size, power of motor , if you use ecalc you can try different size blades on your set up and watch flight times change , one thing is say you use 10x4.5 prop and want to go to a 3 blade prop drop the size by an inch
