Basically I was going to DIY myself a Drone as I used to scratchbuild parkflyers (so have a little bit of knowledge) however on the UK HK's website, I noticed how the Quanum Nova is on sale.
A PNF Quanum Nova (non-pro)+battery costs £169.
The parts I have planned for my DIY drone costs £158.
The parts consists of (feel free to give me recommendations):
S500 glass fiber frame (reviews seems to only knock it down on the landing legs plus its cheep)
HK KK2.1.5 Flight controller
2650mAh 40C 3S battery
Afro 30A ESCs (x4), overkill?
Turnigy Multistar 2213-980Kv (x4)
10x5.5 rotors (maybe a tiny bit big?)
I already have 2 balance chargers and a 6 channel Rx/Tx.
Pros of the PNP Quanum Nova: More functionality (i.e.GPS, compass-gimmicky I guess but nice to have anyway), is a PNF (so less work), possibly easier to fly/more stable?
Pros of DIY-ing: Easier to fix (as I built it), cheaper, easier to customise.
So what do you guys think? PNF or DIY? (and any recommendations).
Thanks!
