I need a quad copter to do some experiments in autonomy and need recommendations about rtf models.
These are my ideal requirements:
Small enough to fly inside (primarily) in rooms with 10-12 ft ceilings but also able to fly outside
Min 15-20 min flight time
Contains pixhawk4 flight controller and associated flight stack
Contains or can accommodate a mission processor, ideally a raspberry pi 3b
Contains or can accommodate gps and or camera and or sonar sensor
Contains rf hardware to interface to flight controller
Would have enough lift capacity to accommodate some extra payload such as small electronic sensors, data acquisition board etc.
I’ve looked at the crazy file, intel drone, and parrot, some are NLA and others don’t meet my needs.
I have considered diy approach but would like to save some time....

I don't think you're going to find something that actually checks all the boxes and is good for use indoors or near people. In order to get the lift capacity and flight time you're going to need a relatively big platform/props etc. Actually building the quad isn't a huge time sink it can be done in an afternoon (usually a few hours building from scratch), but you'll need to spend some time understanding the components and how to connect them; honestly not that hard, ESCs have signal wire from FC, analog video comes from cam and is either piped through FC (cam out to FC in, then FC vid out to VTX in) or can be directly hooked to the VTX, receiver is wired (usually 1 wire or connection port) to the FC.
In my instance, I don't need to be concerned about the regulations - we have waivers and other applicable guidelines
As far as assembling it myself, yes, I can do that. Tuning it and having it perform as expected is another time sink which I'd like to avoid if I can.
I am capable of doing the whole thing myself but I have 'other fish to fry' so to speak.
