in need of a little tech help

hi all

\im new here but im not that new to quads
i have a dji kit with a kk.0 broad which i swapped out for a HK multiwii PRO with GPS.
i followed the forums to install megapirates NG which works well. then i ordered a 3dr radio by hex-tronik. i installed the radio on the quad and ground station but i can not get this to work.

this is my question how do i get this working??

ok this is the 2nd radio the seller sent me another as the 1st was faulty.
i have tryed the wiring both ways around tx/rx and tx/tx etc.
i have try'd to update the firmware not luck.
i can download both setting in apm with no issues but as soon as i connect i get no heartbeat packets.
both radios light up solid green and the ground station flashes tx and rx. but the air station only very faintly flashes tx but is solid green.
i have try'd different apm versions and power-ups.

has anyone got any ideas for this issue. im still tuning atm but the radio will help so much.

Hopefully someone has some experience with this setup and can help you here, but membership is still small. If no one that reads this is familiar with this setup and you do end up finding the answer - could you post it here to help others in the future? I'm also going to ask around and see if someone I know might be able to provide some input on this in case no one from the forum responds.
