So I got sucked into watching the DRL on ESPN and noticed that some of the earlier races included video that seemed to be kind of crummy quality with obvious interference lines etc. To me, this would just be extremely annoying and would dissuade me from any interest in the hobby at this point. However, in watching some of the videos from the Semi-finals and Finals showed that all videos seems to be extremely crisp, clean and clear, so it seems the technology is certainly out there to allow for good quality video while flying these. Can someone explain to me what is going on, and perhaps give me a bit of a primer on the subject? If the technology is there, then why might anyone be using the crummy video equipment in some of the qualifying races leading up to the semifinals? What equipment changes were likely employed for the high quality video without interference in the semi finals and finals?
