ok guys I'm new this forum. I was trying to use RCgroups but it seems to me the people have forgotten the meaning having a forum. IE to help people having a hard time. And boy am I having a hard time.
This whole quad thing has been one fiasco after another and I'm at my wits end and ready to quit. Let me tell you where I am at.
To begin with I haven't owned a computer since 1997. So I'm not computer savvy at all. I know some things and have caught on to more things in the past three weeks.
I bought a kit that was missing the frame when I got it so I had to order a frame then my Multiwii SE and FTDI came in the mail and I have been going insane since. I was pointed out to a QuickStart guide at RTFQ but when I asked for explanations of what I was doing people got mad and now I'm being ignored.
The first problem was I was going by a startup guide that had me download Java. So I did and once that was installed I couldn't get a single program to run on my PC so I had to take it and get it wiped. I know I still have to install it at some point but we will move on.
So when I got it back I downloaded Multiwiiconfig from the Google repository and then downloaded Arduino 1.0.6. I have had no more help from this point.
I did also download and installed the drivers for the FTDI but it turned out after a week of trying the same things over and over that it was bad so I sent it back and now have a CP2102 UART. I uninstalled the drivers for the FTDI and then installed the drivers for the Cp2102. It works and comes up in device manager and shows its drivers are installed and working.
I've hooked it up now to the Arduino IDE and have tried to both blink it and upload the firmware I keep getting this message.....
AVRDude : stk500_getsync() not in sync: resp=0x00
I know this shouldn't be that hard to accomplish could someone please guide me through the process and get me flying?
Additional information
Multiwii SE 2.5
Windows 7HP 64bit OS
