    Flying without an OSD

Use one of these all the time, just make sure you keep it out of the way of the props, learnt that the hard way. (I use a rubber band around it & the battery)

    Airmode & Idle Up

Air mode allows the props to spin at a predetermined RPM ( can set in Beta Flight ) when at 0 throttle thus eliminating dead props during high speed maneuvers. I have mine set to a function sw on the Taranis, so once armed I can switch on air mode when I want it.

    Receiver Antenna questions

Yup, but I have prop nipped antenna wires during a crash and cut them to even lengths then exposed the inner RX wire to manufactures recommendation (IE: FrySky XSR 4 = 32mm) and have had no ill effects, fly's just fine. Beats replacing the RX or waiting 3 weeks to get from China!

    Receiver Antenna questions

"Yes they do. Line em up at 90° for best coverage" Absolutely they should be at a 90º angle whether that be a V or an L also the TX ( Controller ) Antenna should be positioned horizontally not vertically id possible, one more thing to consider to get the best range is to make sure the inner...

Was thinking about DJI's CrystalSky Monitor, for the additional $150 USD above the cost of a new Ipad Mini 4, it has many more features and updates itself when...
