Building a 130mm FPV quad with Naze32 and FrSky receiver

Well today I got the rest of the parts for my 130mm micro. I finished up the QX90 motor swap tonight so the maiden with the new motors will be tomorrow. I got a little better with soldering these pubic hair size wires while doing my QX90 so I have more confidence in my soldering ability now...

    Eachines QX80 QX90 and QX95

I'm changing the motors on my QX90 from the stock motors to Chaoli. It's been acting pretty unstable after 4 or 5 minutes so I figured it's probably the motors wearing out, we'll see. Here is where I'm at right now, just working up the nerve to attempt soldering those tiny wires.

Building a 130mm FPV quad with Naze32 and FrSky receiver

I decided to build a new 130mm Micro quad. I ordered the frame, Micro Naze32 FC, Micro FrSky 8ch receiver, 4 Racestar 8.5x20 motors and a camera/VTX from Banggood. I wanted to build a 110mm but the frame was back ordered so I went with the 130mm. I'm building it instead of buying a BNF so I can...

    Board and transmitter compatibility

Hey KooKoo, I'm not going to say for sure but I would think it would bind with the t6 if it will bind with the I6. They both use FlySky’s AFHDS (Automatic Frequency Hopping Digital System) so given that they both use the same protocol they should both be compatible. To be sure I would check with...

    Eachines QX80 QX90 and QX95

Well here is what I decided on for my next winter project. I decided to ask Santa for the pieces and parts to build me one of these micros from scratch so here we go. Now I could just ask for a BNF but doing it this way allows me to use upgraded parts which should give me a little more bang for...

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

I just came across this picture the other day. This was one of my 1/8th scale gas powered race cars.

    Eachines QX80 QX90 and QX95

I'm thinking about building a 110 or a 130 micro with 4 Chaoli motors, micro Naze32 compatible FC, an 8ch FrSky micro receiver and a camera/VTX. I already have the camera/VTX and the motors I just need the frame, receiver and FC. I'm really hooked on these FrSky compatible micros, this new one...

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

    Mine is a 3s 1300 mah. I don't think 2s will have enough ass for a 150.

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

I'm not flying it much anyway, it's too cold right now. That's a nice frame but what I have will be better for a camera platform.

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

Nice looking hot rods guys, I'll see if I can find some pictures or videos to post. I'm on the other side of ct. wildwelder, Delaware. We went to a race in NJ, Milford NJ I think. Yeah it was cool having my own shop. My wife and I rented an apartment right above the shop so it was really...

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

Your welcome on the compliment, well deserved. I also raced cars around the same time. Raced an Associated 1/8 scale with a K&B 3.5 and Futaba steering wheel radio. That was during the time when I had my Hobby Shop. Me and a couple of friends raced all up ans down the Northeast. That was...

Nice Wildwelder, another clean build. What are you using for FC, radio etc?

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

That's sweet RENOV8R, Nice job, very neat build. How about some flight videos? I have a 180 racing quad, a 450 Flamewheeel and a 550 Flamewheel frame kit besides the QX90 all controlled by a FrSky Taranis Plus transmitter. I'm also thinking about a 110mm micro which will essentially be a QX90...

Hello from a long time hardcore RC freak.

I've been in RC since I was about 10 years old. I flew planes, Helicopters, raced cars and boats and even owned a Hobby Shop for several years. I built my first transmitter and receiver from a kit. It was a Controlair Mule Mark II single channel radio and yes, I actually flew a plane with it.
