I've noticed a little vertical play in the props on my X5C, about 1mm or so. Would there be any advantage in taking up the slack by removing the props and fitting tiny washers? I'd obviously leave a hairs width of play so they were still able to rotate. Would it make things smoother/less noisy?

I've not been flying my X5C-1 long so I never had headless mode but even I am now capable of banking and spirals etc. I understand headless mode if this is your first foray into this hobby though.

To add a little balance here, GearBest are my go to suppliers. Everything quad copter related I've purchased so far has come from them, mainly due to the recommendations from Quadcopter 101 on youtube.

Thanks for the replies. Don't get me wrong, I'm not knocking the stock camera. I just wondered if there was a standard preferred upgrade. Now that the downsides have been raised, I'll probably stick with the camera I have. I would like to know a little more about video processing/enhancement though.

So, what's the most popular replacement camera for my shiny new X5C-1? I've seen one or two 808 key-chain cameras which I'm sure wouldn't be a problem in terms of weight but the FOV is a little disappointing, unless there's a version I'm missing. Any other recommendations?
