Looks like it'd be a great build! I really like the frame design. Have you ever used the stack or motors before? I've had those motors in mind for a while and have been looking around at 4 in 1 ESCs for a while for my next build. But regardless, good luck! Post pictures if you decided to go for it!

This thing has been a blast! I got about 7 packs through until I had a minor crash on some pavement and fried 2 ESCs... oops! But I have seriously been considering picking up a smaller quad as a back up. What micro do you have?

IT FLIES!!!! :D Thank you Wafflejock for the idea of testing the motors individually... My issue ended up being that the PDB was flipped 180 from where it needed to be... so when I tested motor 1 in GUI, motor 4 would spin on my quad... I flipped the board around and resoldered everything, sure...

Talk about drone goals... I'm stuck with only 3 for now until the next paycheck comes in hahaha I would love to be able to fly non-stop for 30+ packs! I guess I have to get it flying first :oops:

Thank you for the extremely detailed response, that was very informative and helpful. I will hook up the quad again when I get home and pay attention to which motors spin up/down when I tilt it to make sure that everything is oriented correctly.

I wouldn't be so concerned with these values if I could at least get off the ground and the quad would level out. I know when on the ground the FC thinks the quad isn't level and therefore tries to compensate with raising/lowering motor speed and that all makes sense. I have also checked the...

Here are the screenshots, in order: 1) first arming with no throttle 2) mid throttle 3) full throttle 4) back to no throttle. As you can see, the motors all start out around the same values, but as they increase motors 1 & 3 go crazy and remain crazy even when I'm back at zero throttle.

Thank you for the input! I double checked the orientation last night and verified that if I tilted toward me, the image responded the same, as well in all other directions. I will double check the direction of the motors here shortly, it'd be nice if that's all that it was! I haven't tried it...

So I need some advice... Quad arms, I seem to have good control over the throttle now, but as soon as I try to take off, the quad flips out of control, usually backwards. I have double checked the mid and end points, triple checked the orientation of the FC and motors (as well as props)...

Well I definitely got lucky. I picked up a much better soldering iron and resoldered almost every joint and thankfully no sparks! I was finally able to actually arm the quad today for the first time ever! So stoked.... But, now the issue I have to sort through is that I get zero throttle...

I finally had some free time to work on this thing! I was able to get the FC setup, but when went to plug in the battery to program the ESCs... fireworks from the XT60... thankfully the electronics look alright, but the inside of the XT60 is charred pretty good. My guess is crappy solder job...

Also, I've tried downloading the GUI via Chrome apps (assuming that it's the latest version) as well as 2.0.2, and 1.16.15, all with no luck.
