I just recently got into Quads. I am still learning how to fly on the Hubsan. We live in a very windy and gusty area. So flying days outside are occasional at best. With that being said I wanted to make a quad out of available materials I could use on wood working tools. The material I used was acrylic sheets 1/8" thick from Amazon. The parts that are not homemade or cut from a band saw are from Amazon and Hobby King.
I started off in my favorite and familiar program Inventor. What you see now is that last rendition to this model. I have added lights, new landing, and fpv to this quad and have room to spare on the thrust to grams scale. The size is hard to classify.
I am just calling the Yellow Mellow, because it is made out yellow acrylic. Here are the 3d shots of it.
I will add replies to the thread so it won't all be in one spot.
This is my first post on here.
