Having since sorted out the purpose of the balance wires on the battery I have re-weired the whole thing off the PDB and still no luck. Having fried a couple of servo wires I was using for testing I hope haven't cooked the whole system.

Thanks Holtneil, after almost 8 hours I have finally got the quad up and running and I have to say I am very impressed with its performance. It has been a much steeper learning curve than I anticipated and I am still playing with the PIDs but its immensely satisfying to have it up in the air...

Ok this is starting to make more sense. I have just the basic taranis plus transmitter (no spectrum back pack) which explains why the lemon rx isn't binding. So now I just need to figure out how to connect the x8r with the naze
