Newbie question about 5.8ghz compatible goggle

I have a 5.8g camera installed in my Bugs3 drone. I also have a D43 monitor for that.
I am considering, for the first time, acquiring a goggle to fly with the Bugs3.
I am on a budget ( which I have insanely broken 2 drones ago).
Will the following goggles be ok for what I want?...…… Keep in mind this will be my very first attempt flying with a goggle.

My experience with very similar box goggles was the receiver range didn't seem that good, but I didn't really know until I got FatSharks with LaForge modules, so can say for sure the diversity modules and patch antenna help a ton but for just proximity flying and staying relatively close these should work fine to get started.

Keep in mind in general a higher up transmitter will transmit signal over the top of things instead of needing to bounce around them.

It's probably a good time to wait on high end goggles too really because Orca FPV should be releasing some soonish and some rumblings about fat shark having something to add to their line (maybe in fall) so might drive some prices down and new stuff to check out.

Those should work. I have the Eachine EV800D goggles myself and they work great.

EV800D is for $123+. Not sure I want to do that, although it has the DVR.
Most likely I'll settle on EV800 for $82. 5 inch screen is more preferable than VR007's 4.3 inch.

I think if you look around you can find the EV800D for $99. That's what I paid for mine. I figured the diversity was worth the extra money, and I was right. Plus as you mentioned, a built in DVR. I bought them as "starter goggles" but frankly I see no reason to upgrade to anything else. I really enjoy the immersiveness of the box-style goggles, but I'm strictly recreational flying and not racing or freestyle.

I have just purchased the Eachine EV800d goggles which are fantastic.

I would like to put a compatible camera in one of my fixed wing models.

Can any body recommend a decent camera which would do the job?

Any fpv camera will do can look on racedayquads.com or getfpv.com for some reviewed products. Personally a big fan of the runcam split options out there since has a separate pdb that you can put an SD card into and get onboard HD recording along with SD transmission live to goggles. The video quality of the HD image isn't as good as say a dedicated go pro but for the weight and cost savings I think it's totally worth having and can upload hd vids to share with friends and family (and folks here, remote friends )

One thing to add if you don't have a VTX you'll need that as well basically the VTX and camera can be standalone with just power going into both. Sending the video signal through the FC allows it to add extra voltage info etc. over the regular display, called on screen display or OSD.

Oh yup forgot but those exist too just usually used for micro quads the 2" or smaller ones so if you search for micro quad fpv gear you'll find fully integrated ones but usually no HD recording locally in that case.

Not sure off hand if you can drop a link will check it out here but part number isn't coming back in Google search for that exact text. Very likely it's fine so long as 5.8GHz range transmitter included.

Think it should work, but can't really speak to the range on that one, believe UK are limited on power output from the transmitter legally but honestly no one is going to stop you and check your transmitter output level (less enforceable than the new FAA laws for us in the US). It's a good thing I already thought the law was stupid or I might have a moral dillema on my hands here.
